A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

Dear All,

I hope this latest Newsletter finds you all well and you have had a great summer. I’m delighted to report that, following a period of negotiation with the local authorities, we have been able to roll out a new background staffing model across our homes that has improved the way we deliver the care to the people we support and has provided some savings both to the Local Authority and Creative Care. This has enabled Creative Care to invest in other areas to improve the quality of the services we provide.

Additionally, in August all our beds across the business were full for the first time and we have recruited a full complement of staff to deliver the care hours. This is a significant development, positioning Creative Care as a strong quality provider in the region and giving us a strong future for further developments.

On a celebratory note, Creative Care marked its 18th birthday with a vibrant party for both the
staff and the people we support who attended at our Head Office. It was a time to reflect on the
journey we’ve undertaken and look ahead to the promising future that awaits us. The festive spirit
continues, as we plan to host a Christmas gathering on the 15th of December. All are welcome and
we look forward to seeing everyone who can attend from our homes.

In terms of infrastructure, the kitchen at Ollerton has been revamped, enhancing the overall
experience for both our residents and staff. Thank you to the maintenance team for your hard
work on this project and your ongoing enhancements and redecoration of the properties.

During the happy summer months it has been great to see all our homes making the most of the
sunshine by taking part in lots of outdoor activities and some fantastic summer holidays away with
the staff. It’s rewarding to know that the people we support are enjoying these opportunities that
we so often take for granted.

I’m also thrilled to share that one of our exceptional managers, Keeley Coleman, has been
nominated and shortlisted in the ‘Care Home Manager’ category at the prestigious Great British
Care Awards. This is a testament to the dedication and excellence that Keeley brings to The Old
Vicarage, Ollerton and Creative Care.
The spirit of giving back remains at the forefront of our ethos. Our charity car wash event at
Charnwood was a great success, with the company generously contributing towards the cause.
Additionally, we have been working on redeveloping the Polly Tunnel at Bridle Lodge and hope to
report on this in the next newsletter. This has been funded by Charity fundraising by the home.
Thank you everyone for your unwavering commitment to the people we support and to Creative
Care as a whole. Your contributions make all the difference. Let’s continue to strive for excellence in
all that we do.
Warm regards,
Ian
