Sternhill Paddock is a modern six bed property located in the scenic village of Eakring in Newark and Sherwood set in a large garden and accompanying two acres of paddock. There is a fantastic, homely feel as soon as you walk in, with large reception rooms, a conservatory and the outside area backs onto local country nature trails. The bus stop is only 0.25 miles away and local transport links are nearby.
The service offers specialist residential support to young adults and provides Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to enable everyone to achieve positive outcomes. Each individual has their own weekly timetable, which details their preferred activities; these consist of in-house and community-based activities.
Individuals are supported to attend college courses or access voluntary and paid work in order to build on their skills, self confidence and self-esteem. Service users living on site are young adults, with a diagnosis of ASD, moderate to severe learning disability and additional complex needs.
The Home Manager is NVQ5 trained, a PBS coach and has a wealth of experience in working with people who demonstrate complex challenges.
