The Old Vicarage is a Georgian 4 bedroom property, situated in approximately 3 acres of land and based in the village of Ironville, which lies on the border between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
People living at The Old Vicarage have access to a wide variety of places of interest, from Hardwick Hall, Clumber Park and Stainsby Mill to The National Tramway Museum, Patchings Farm Art Centre, the Theatre Royal Nottingham and Wonderland Pleasure Park.
In 2014 a new 3 bedroom bungalow was completed within the grounds. In 2015, conversion of a stone built stable block will add further 2 bedroomed accommodation. The main house and The Bungalow both offer a low arousal environment to include “chill -out” rooms and Snoezelen (sensory) rooms.
Externally, The Old Vicarage has a garden room, a pizza oven and sunken trampoline Service users living on site are young adults, all of whom have a diagnosis of ASD/ADHD with moderate to severe learning disability and additional severe and complex challenges.
The Registered Manager is NVQ 5 qualified, has a Diploma in Health and Social Care and a wealth of experience in working with people having ASD, PDA and complex challenging behaviour.
Staffing levels provided are a minimum of 1:1 with a high proportion of service users requiring additional 2:1 support.
